Founded at Mollymook Beach in 1935, the club has a shared purpose: helping prevent loss of life in the surf. That purpose continues through the time, care and skills of our members, with family and community at the heart of club life.

Club facilities
A place to come together
Members have access to amenities, a gymnasium and upstairs social spaces. Ocean’s Function Centre offers a coastal setting for weddings, celebrations and community gatherings, with ocean views, flexible catering and a fully licensed bar.

What the club exists to do
Six objectives guide our lifesaving work, member wellbeing and club standards.
Practise lifesaving
Study and practise the methods of surf lifesaving taught by Surf Life Saving Australia.
Prevent loss of life
Provide effective beach patrols, rescue services and lifesaving equipment.
Teach lifesaving skills
Promote instruction and recognised lifesaving awards through Surf Life Saving NSW.
Support competition
Participate in surf sports and pursue high standards under Surf Life Saving competition rules.
Support members
Encourage the physical and social wellbeing of club members.
Uphold club standards
Apply the club’s rules and by-laws and address conduct that falls outside them.
